A veteran bilingual Turkish/British director and writer, Atıl İnaç has gained a reputation as a very talented storyteller balancing projects in Los Angeles, Istanbul and the Middle East. It recently received the 2010 Best Film Award for Big Play at several world film festivals in the United States [A Step into The Darkness], which had its world premiere at the Montreal Film Festival. İnaç shot his first feature film in Iraq and Southeastern Turkey in 2009 and took part in the programs/official elections of 20 IFFs. Inaç graduated from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey, studying Philosophy, Claremont University, and Missouri-Kansas City University.
